This link provides access to the content of two databases from Engineering Village, Compendex Archive(Engineering Index Backfile) and Inspec. Compendex Archive is a bibliographic database of engineering research which contains over 1.7 million references and abstracts taken from over 6,000 scholarly journals, trade magazines, conference proceedings and technical papers. The subjects covered by this database include nuclear technology, transportation, chemical and process engineering, light and optical technology, agricultural engineering and food technology, data processing, applied physics, electronics and communications, control, civil, mechanical, materials, petroleum, aerospace and automotive engineering as well as narrower subtopics within all these and other major engineering fields. The Compendex Archive provides a comprehensive, historical view of engineering developments and innovations described in literature from 1884-1969. Access to current information in Compendex is available through Scopus. Inspec is a bibliographic database providing access to scientific literature in electrical engineering, electronics, physics, control engineering, information technology, communications, computers, computing, manufacturing and production engineering. The database contains over 13 million bibliographic records from scientific and technical journals and conference proceedings. Inspec's online coverage is from 1898 to the present, and records are updated weekly, with approximately 760,000 new records added to the database annually.

This database contains bibliographic records from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Library. Agricola contains more than 4.8 million citations, which are comprised of journal articles, book chapters, monographs, theses, patents, software, audiovisual materials, and technical reports related to agriculture. Agricola encompasses agriculture and many allied disciplines, including animal and veterinary sciences, entomology, plant sciences, forestry, aquaculture and fisheries, farming and farming systems, agricultural economics, extension and education, food and human nutrition, agricultural engineering and technology, and earth and environmental sciences. Note: This database pulls much of its data from the USDA/NAL Agricola website (for which it is named), and search results will be similar, but this site is the EBSCO version and has access to other EBSCO resources.

This database provides access to the American Institute of Physics (AIP) Journal Catalog, which includes over 25 full-text publications from multiple scholarly publishers. In addition, the catalog provides information (such as Thomson Reuters citation data) related to making acquisitions decisions. It also includes bibliographic information, information on new and discontinued publications, new online editions of existing journals, distribution and frequency changes, ordering information, and more. The publications are hosted on the Scitation platform, which provides HTML full-text results, downloadable PDFs, tools that help link articles to other information, and the ability to cross-search and access journals, proceedings, and books on a single site. The Marriott Library has also purchased access to SPIN (Searchable Physics Information Notices), an abstracts database that covers a slightly different set of titles than are hosted on the Scitation platform. SPIN can be searched either separately or together with the AIP Publications in Scitation.

This database contains the CAS Registry Number®, chemical names (both formal and common), molecular formulas, and structures or sequences for over 7800 chemicals of widespread general public interest. These substances are of global commercial use or importance and have been cited 1,000 or more times in the CAS Databases. Examples of substances included are aspirin, biotin, benzoyl peroxide, and boric acid. The Common Chemistry database also includes all 118 elements of the Periodic Table, although not all of the elements may meet the 1,000 references threshold. The database also features links to Wikipedia records (when available) that have been provided by the Wikipedia Chemicals WikiProject in collaboration with Chemical Abstracts Service.

This listing provides access to the Synthesis and Colloquium collections, which are interdisciplinary teaching and learning products covering new and emerging fields in the life sciences. The basic component of the collections is a 50 to 100-page "lecture" (a self-contained electronic book that synthesizes a research or development topic). Each lecture includes pictures, tables, and linked references to other peer reviewed articles and books. The collections and their lectures are organized by series, with each series managed by an editor who guides the lecture topic and author selection as well as peer review. New series and lectures are added continuously and existing lectures are revised periodically. Some topics which are currently covered by this database are Biotechnology, Cell Biology of Medicine, the Developing Brain, Developmental Biology, and Integrated Systems Physiology.

TRAIL is a collaborative project to digitize, archive, and provide persistent and unrestricted access to federal technical reports issued prior to 1975. The TRAIL project was initiated in 2005 by engineering and government document librarians (including the University of Utah). The project has since expanded and is now a nationwide workflow among over 30 institutional partners. As of April 2011 more than 30,000 documents have been scanned, cataloged and added to the repository. U.S. federal agencies included in the collection so far are the Bureau of Mines, National Bureau of Standards, Atomic Energy Commission, Saline Waters, and NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics). The collection is constantly expanding to include additional agencies.
