This database provides full-text access to the journals, magazines, and proceedings published by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Users can export citation pages in Endnote, BibTex, and ACM Ref formats and access an author database which includes bibliometrics of many authors in the field. Some of the journals in this database are the ACM Computing Surveys, ACM Journal of Computer Documentation, ACM Journal on Emerging Technologies in Computing Systems, Journal of Data and Information Quality, Journal of Experimental Algorithmics, Journal of the ACM, Journal on Computing and Cultural Heritage, and the Journal on Educational Resources in Computing.

Aluminum Industry Abstracts (AIA), formerly World Aluminum Abstracts (WAA), provides coverage of the world's technical literature on aluminum, production processes, products, applications, and business developments. Their database contains over 3,000 periodicals, conference proceedings, technical reports, trade journal/newsletter items, patents, books, and press releases. Their major areas of coverage include the aluminum industry, aluminum intermetallics, business information, end uses of aluminum, engineering properties and tests, extractive metallurgy, melting/casting/foundry, metalworking/fabrication/finishing, ores, extraction of alumina and aluminum, patents, physical and mechanical metallurgy, and quality control/testing. The database's coverage (as shown above) is approximately 1972 - current, though the oldest record in the database has a publication date of 1934; about 50% of its records have publication dates of 1988 or later. The database is updated once a month, with approximately 10,000 new records are added per year and a total of over 410,000 records so far.

The Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) is a worldwide repository of small-molecule crystal structures developed and maintained by the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC). This database records bibliographic, chemical and crystallographic information for organic molecules and metal-organic compounds. This link provides access to the web version of this repository, which is called WebCSD. WebCSD will work on almost any web browser or platform, but it is not as comprehensive as the client software. If you are simply looking up common structures for educational purposes the web version should suffice, but for more complex tasks you will want to use the desktop client. On the library's Windows computers, you can access the desktop client by navigating to Desktop --> Class Software --> CCDC. There is currently no client version for Mac OS X or Linux. For access outside the Marriott Library you will have to set up an account with the Center for High Performance Computing (CHPC). Computing Reviews provides reviews of computer science literature and links directly to the full text of the items being reviewed. The site is updated daily and allows users to browse reviews within date ranges and subjects, create personalized filters for searches, and set up alerts to receive updates on topics or sources of interest.

This link provides access to the content of two databases from Engineering Village, Compendex Archive(Engineering Index Backfile) and Inspec. Compendex Archive is a bibliographic database of engineering research which contains over 1.7 million references and abstracts taken from over 6,000 scholarly journals, trade magazines, conference proceedings and technical papers. The subjects covered by this database include nuclear technology, transportation, chemical and process engineering, light and optical technology, agricultural engineering and food technology, data processing, applied physics, electronics and communications, control, civil, mechanical, materials, petroleum, aerospace and automotive engineering as well as narrower subtopics within all these and other major engineering fields. The Compendex Archive provides a comprehensive, historical view of engineering developments and innovations described in literature from 1884-1969. Access to current information in Compendex is available through Scopus. Inspec is a bibliographic database providing access to scientific literature in electrical engineering, electronics, physics, control engineering, information technology, communications, computers, computing, manufacturing and production engineering. The database contains over 13 million bibliographic records from scientific and technical journals and conference proceedings. Inspec's online coverage is from 1898 to the present, and records are updated weekly, with approximately 760,000 new records added to the database annually.

Proquest's Materials Science database covers metals and alloys, including details on their properties, manufacturing, applications, and development. The collection contains almost 1.5 million references and is the database equivalent of Metals Abstracts, Metals Abstracts Index, and Alloys Index. Major areas of coverage include steel, strength, refining, casting, coatings, heat treatment, metal matrix composites, nonferrous metals, corrosion, extracting, smelting, blast furnaces, machining, welding, testing, analysis, environmental issues, and safety issues. The database is updated once a month, with approximately 45,000 new records added per year. There are nearly 8 million records in the collection in total, drawn from over 3,000 periodicals, conference proceedings, technical reports, trade journal/newsletter items, patents, books, and press releases.

Scopus is a large abstract and citation database of research literature and patents. The database is updated daily; Scopus contains over 93 million records with over 87 million records since 1970. Scopus indexes over 26,000 peer-reviewed journals from more than 7,000 publishers, including over 6,000 open access journals. Scopus also indexes nearly 200 trade publications, nearly 150,000 conferences, and over 300,000 books. Additionally, the database contains over 48 million patent records from US Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), European Patent Office (EPO), Japan Patent Office, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and UK Intellectual Property Office.
