Aluminum Industry Abstracts (AIA), formerly World Aluminum Abstracts (WAA), provides coverage of the world's technical literature on aluminum, production processes, products, applications, and business developments with approximately 10,000 new records are added per year and a total of over 410,000 records so far. Their database contains over 3,000 periodicals, conference proceedings, technical reports, trade journal/newsletter items, patents, books, and press releases.

This database provides access to a collection of more than 1,500 standards and commercial grades records, corrosion performance data in high temperature oxidizing environments, paint coatings information from Rowan Technology Group, and more than 100 Alloy Digest datasheets.

MPDS offers over 75,000 phase diagrams, a significant expansion from APD, including binary, ternary, and multinary systems. With advanced search capabilities, an intuitive graphical interface (GUI), and access to 995,000 physical properties and detailed data sheets, MPDS delivers a more powerful and user-friendly experience with 86% more phase diagrams in this ever-growing database.

ChemZent provides access to the first and only indexed, English-searchable version of Chemisches Zentralblatt. Chemisches Zentralblatt is the oldest journal of chemistry abstracts. ChemZent allows authorized users to explore, discover and isolate historic chemistry information using familiar SciFinder features. Also, gain additional entry points to ChemZent abstracts through indexing of relevant concepts and substances. Pinpoint the location of the abstract within the original German PDF with abstract markers and make use of the CAS controlled vocabulary for greater discoverability and Print and export original German and English translated abstracts.

This link provides access to the archival content of two databases from Engineering Village, Compendex Archive(Engineering Index Backfile) and Inspec Archive. Coverage is limited to archive-only access (1884-1969). Access to current information in Compendex and Inspec  may be available through Dimensions, Scopus, and/or Web of Science. 

The Materials Business File covers industry news, product and process developments, plant development and construction, international trade data, government regulations, and management issues related to a number of industries. Begun in 1985 as an alerting service, the database now serves also as a historical business/industry reference. Sources covered include over 3,000 periodicals, conference proceedings, technical reports, trade journal/newsletter items, patents, books, and press releases. Major areas of subject coverage include recycling, health and safety issues, economics, alloy and material developments, company information, energy usage, fuel, raw materials, recycling, and more.

Proquest's Materials Science database covers metals and alloys, including details on their properties, manufacturing, applications, and development. The collection contains almost 1.5 million references and is the database equivalent of Metals Abstracts, Metals Abstracts Index, and Alloys Index. Major areas of coverage include steel, strength, refining, casting, coatings, heat treatment, metal matrix composites, nonferrous metals, corrosion, extracting, smelting, blast furnaces, machining, welding, testing, analysis, environmental issues, and safety issues. The database is updated once a month, with approximately 45,000 new records added per year. There are nearly 8 million records in the collection in total, drawn from over 3,000 periodicals, conference proceedings, technical reports, trade journal/newsletter items, patents, books, and press releases.
